STEPS OF BECOMING A CYBA COACH
1. Click on the Registration Button at the Bottom of the page.
2. Answer all of the questions asked.
3. The CYBA will pay for you to become a member of the National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA). (Optional)
4. A background check will be conducted on you.
5. The coaches for the CYBA season will be selected by a Coaches Selection Committee. The Coaches Selection Committee will consist of the CYBA Vice-President and three other members of the CYBA Board of Directors. The committee will be formed at the first meeting following the election of officers for the upcoming year. The Coaches selection Committee will be responsible for coach selection. The Committee is also responsible for giving direction to the coaches to ensure that they are following the guidelines and policies set forth by the CYBA. Any coach not following the guidelines and policies will meet with the Board and may be removed as coach. Coaches are not to give rides to or from CYBA sponsored events. Coaches are expected to attend the coaching clinics and the monthly meetings of the Board of Directors.
PLAYER AND COACHES CODE OF CONDUCT
A code of conduct for CYBA players and coaches is important for aiding the development of good sportsmanship, respect for rules and authority, team discipline, and the elimination of disruptive influences. Profanity is never allowed. Players and coaches are responsible for knowing the rules of basketball and conducting themselves accordingly. Winning and losing are part of the game, and players and coaches should be modest in victory and gracious in defeat.

Player Conduct:
After 1 technical foul, player sits the remainder of game.
After 2 technical fouls, player sits remainder of the tournament, in addition to the next tournament.
After 3 technical fouls, player will miss remainder of CYBA season.
